What are some safe ways to use asbestos?
I understand that a few decades ago there was a ban on asbestos and billions of dollars were spent to remove asbestos and construct buildings without this product. However, asbestos are found, when using proper measures, to be an cost efficent and effective material. Does anyone have valid reasons why not to use asbestos (within proper measure) as a material in construction?
Why weren’t we warned about the asbestos dust from the WTC that existed for weeks after 9/11?
The owners (the Port Authority) had previously been REFUSED permission to have the buildings demolished on the grounds of the resulting toxic dust that would cover NY, so surely plenty of people in authority in NY were aware of this situation? why didn’t they evacuate the whole area for a few weeks?
there were 2,000 tons of asbestos in the WTC used as fire-retardant up to at least the 40th floors. asbestos was banned in 1971 & the owners were required to remove it.
just 7 days after 9/11, the EPA stated the air around ground zero was safe to breathe & yet workers were claiming they weren’t feeling well whilst working there 6 weeks after 9/11.
360+ have died so far, 600 already have cancer now & a database exists of 71,000 names of those exposed.

Dri-fit – read it again, i said SIX WEEKS AFTER 9/11
Gekokujo – thanks for understanding the point! the EPA basically lied to people & rescue workers were not given the proper suits & breathing apparatus & now they’re all dying – that’s murder.
Freedom – you’re quite right, the ‘little’ people don’t count in their eyes
Another incompetent, politically motivated nomination from Bush? Should I even be suprised?
President Bush has nominated Michael Baroody – one of Corporate America’s leading anti-consumer henchmen – to head the Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) – our top government agency protecting millions of Americans from injury and death from unsafe products.
The problem?
For the past 13 years, Michael Baroody has served as Executive Vice President at the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) – a K Street lobbying behemoth devoted to helping big manufacturers evade accountability for their wrongdoing.
During his tenure at NAM, Michael Baroody:
Fought to allow a higher level of arsenic in drinking water
Opposed attempts to ban tobacco billboards near schools
Lobbied to keep corporate documents regarding unsafe products from the public.
Lobbied to eliminate the rights of Americans exposed to asbestos to hold the responsible corporations accountable
Lobbied to eliminate the rights of Americans exposed to asbestos to hold the responsible corporations
Lobbied to immunize negligent corporations from responsibility for their actions
Pushed to limit fines for corporate wrongdoing that placed American consumers in direct danger
Worked to eliminate rules that protect and keep safe Americans in the workplace
NAM lobbied to keep manufacturers from having to publicly disclose how much lead they were producing
Worked to immunize corporate CEOs from criminal liability for marketing deadly products to the public, maintaining such actions might slow “productivity

Stupid Marxist (more like Fascist–suits you better). The proof isn’t in their G-D mission statement, it is in their actions. Like they are going to say, “We fight to protect manufacturers from being accountable for any knowledgeable wrongdoing that may occur!”
I smell a sheep in da house….
has anyone seen this?
what has Obama done?

I think that the people that have no substance, to my question and statement, are clearly racist.
