Should I consult a lawyer or wait for OSHA?
I discovered that the air handling system at work was shut off because was in an area that contained known carcinogens(asbestos and mold). My coworkers and I have had health problems and I believe it is because the overhead fans in the kitchen have been drawing air from this hazardous area. I contacted OSHA and they told me to file a workman’s compensation claim. Of course the company is now scrambling to cover all the violations. Should I get an attorney or wait for OSHA to come and access the situation?
Does anyone know how to contact the John Manville Fund for Asbestos victims?

How much does asbestos removal cost in RI?
We have what looks to be asbestos wraps on our hot water pipes and we are knocking our house down. I was told it will have to be inspected and removed if it is asbestos. I was told by one company it would be at least $800. Can anyone give me an idea of what it may cost and if that sounds right? There may be 20-30ft of it.
Thanks

Does all attic insulation from the 50’s to 70’s contain asbestos?
I plan on remodeling my cabin a little and am concerned whether or not to even attempt to do this due to possible asbestos in the insulation. The cabin has poor insulation ability as in doesn’t retain heat very well and I believe it was built in the 50’s or 60’s. From what I remember it looked whitish and almost like wool or puffy material. Im going there this weekend and will look again and make sure what I am describing is accurate. I read online the Vermiculite can contain asbestos but its a pebble type material. I am almost positive it is not this but again im going to verify this, this weekend. I am going to take extra precautions and treat it like it has asbestos. I plan on removing an exterioir wall to and enclose the covered porch to give more room. any info will be great.
well i went up this weekend and looked in the attic without touching a thing. i took some pictures and saw some insulation bags. they were Zonolite vermiculite attic insulation bags from w.r. grace. i did some research online and found out this was the company that had asbestos in there vermiculite. so my only option is to remove it or can i spray cellulose over it and be safe?
